The VGI JROTC Scholarship Program honors Lucianne Horace's legacy by investing in the next generation of military leaders. Like her "X" represented resilience and promise, this scholarship represents our commitment to transforming potential into performance.
The Legacy Cycle Launches
The inaugural cycle of VGI's "X" Promise Legacy Program begins in 2027. We're investing in JROTC cadets and graduating seniors who demonstrate leadership, discipline, and commitment to community service.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the VGI "X" Promise JROTC Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Current 12th Grade or Graduating Senior
- Active JROTC student status (must be confirmed by JROTC Instructor via email)
- Minimum 2.8 GPA (Unofficial transcript must be uploaded)
- Verifiable community service (20+ hours) with supporting document
- JROTC Instructor Recommendation
- Recommendation letter from a teacher or staff
- 300-500 words essay
- Photo in uniform
